the wonders of EFT!
Emotional
Freedom Technique
is one of the biggest
breakthroughs to occur in the field of psychotherapy, a
breakthrough that is completely changing how we think
about creating health and happiness. It is one of the
new Energy Psychology techniques that have been
taking the therapy world by storm. It is only now, that
research on this amazing technique is beginning to
reach the psychological press.
Is it possible for such a powerful
procedure to be as simple as tapping energy points on
ones' body? YES! It's that simple and extremely
effective. Perhaps you have a painful memory that seems
to crop up and prevent you from achieving something
that's important to you. We call this a limiting belief.
With EFT on your side, odds are that the painful and
limiting emotional attachment to that memory will simply
vanish. The belief re-stated after an EFT session may
even sound ridiculous to you.

The method by which it
works can be explained by the work of Einstein.
This
process should not be considered unusual because Albert
Einstein, through his famous discoveries, told us in the
1920's that everything is composed of energy....even our
bodies.
In more simplistic terms
energy psychology techniques work by balancing the
bodies energy system. There are many different
techniques today that also work by this method. These
include, acupressure, acupuncture, homeopathy, yoga
therapy, shiatsu, reflexology and Reiki amongst a few.
Rapidly reducing emotional pain is one
of the key benefits that the psychological acupressure
methods can provide. No one likes to linger in an
unpleasant emotional state. Our natural mechanism for
coping with painful feelings is avoidance. People have
even avoided getting treatment because they have
difficulty tolerating upsetting emotions. Older forms of
therapy move at such a slow pace that one is frequently
deep in distress at the end of a therapy session. This
is rarely the case with (EFT) Emotional Freedom
Technique. Because it helps to ease the pain so fast,
you can see the results and know that your distress will
soon ease. This can help you face even traumatic events
with the confidence that you will not be overwhelmed and
will find emotional freedom from the issues that bother
you.
The History Of
Emotional Freedom Technique
Forms of
energy therapy have been in existence as far back as we
can trace. Energy therapy was used throughout the world
and its usage can be traced back to cultures as diverse
as the Bantu Tribe in Africa, Eskimos and India. Since
there was no global communication at those points in
time it stands to reason that these cultures must have
discovered the benefits of Energy Techniques
independently and through experimentation.
Gary
Craig, who developed (EFT) Emotional Freedom
Technique, had been an early student of Dr. Roger
Callahan, the developer of
Thought Field Therapy (TFT). TFT was the first
psychological acupressure therapy to be developed. Gary
took many of Dr. Callahan's concepts and saw a way that
they could be improved and simplified so that this type
of treatment could be made available to many more
people.
From Karen F: "EFT is nothing short of
astounding! After performing EFT with Marla for some rather painful
issues, I am able to think about these situations without pain or
fear, despite my rigorous attempts to evoke those previous emotions. It is simply incredible the sense of calm and clarity EFT
produces!! Thank you!"
Cheryl R
tells us: “The ‘Tapping’ (EFT)
came in really handy over the weekend.
While driving and feeling anxious about the job I just tapped it out
and definitely noticed calming results.”
Cheryl
S. writes: “Through your gentle and
compassionate guidance, I finally feel as though I am capable of
handling anything that comes my way. Thank you, again, for creating
the momentum that has shifted my consciousness ... truly!”
Shawn Y says:
“You’re the only
person who has ever taken my dreams seriously AND help me understand
that I can achieve them. Thank you for showing me how to believe in
myself!”
